dovora

Terms of Use

Version 2026-07-24 · Effective July 24, 2026

These terms govern access to the dovora beta. The beta restrictions in sections 2 and 3 are not boilerplate — they are the conditions the whole invitation rests on.

  • Beta software — not for clinical use

    dovora is unfinished, unvalidated evaluation software. It must not be used to deliver care, to make or support clinical decisions, or to produce any part of a real patient's medical record.

  • Not HIPAA compliant

    There is no Business Associate Agreement in place, no HIPAA-compliant infrastructure, and no assurance about how data is encrypted, logged, retained, or handled by the third-party providers this app sends data to.

  • Synthetic test data only

    Enter fictional data only. Never enter protected health information or anything else identifying a real person — no real names, dates of birth, MRNs, contact details, or recorded audio of a real encounter.

1 Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and EMRLynx ("we", "us", "our") covering the dovora application, its website, and everything we make available through them (the "Service").

You accept these Terms when you register, when you first sign in, and again whenever we publish a new version. If you do not agree, do not use the Service — close this page and ask us to remove your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" then means that organization.

2 Beta software — not for clinical use

dovora is pre-release beta software provided for evaluation and testing only. It is incomplete, unvalidated, and expected to contain defects.

You agree that you will not use the Service:

  • to deliver, document, bill for, or support the delivery of health care to any real person;
  • to make, inform, or second-guess any diagnostic, treatment, triage, or other clinical decision;
  • to create or edit any part of a real patient’s medical record, or to place its output into an electronic health record or any other system of record;
  • in any live clinical environment, or in any workflow a patient depends on.

The Service is not a medical device. It has not been cleared, approved, certified, or reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority, and it has not been clinically validated. No statement anywhere in the Service is a claim of diagnostic or clinical accuracy.

3 Not HIPAA compliant — synthetic data only

The Service is not HIPAA compliant and is not designed, hosted, audited, or operated to meet HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, or any comparable health-data or privacy standard.

We do not offer and have not entered into a Business Associate Agreement with you. We are not acting as your business associate, and nothing in these Terms or in your use of the Service creates that relationship.

You therefore agree to enter only synthetic, fictional test data. You must not submit protected health information ("PHI"), personally identifiable information about any real person, or any other confidential or regulated data — whether by typing it, pasting it, uploading it, or dictating it.

If you believe PHI or real patient data has reached the Service, stop, and email shamshersingh91@gmail.com immediately. We may delete any content we believe contains such data, without notice and without preserving a copy.

You are solely responsible for any data you submit and for any consequence of submitting data this section prohibits.

4 Eligibility and your account

Access is invite-only. Accounts are created by an administrator; there is no public sign-up. Sign-in uses one-time codes emailed to your invited address.

Your account is personal to you. Do not share it, your invited email address, or any sign-in code. You are responsible for everything done through your account, and you agree to tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

We may suspend, disable, or remove any account at any time — for a breach of these Terms, because we suspect abuse or inappropriate use, or simply because the beta is ending. See section 18.

5 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit PHI, real patient data, or any other confidential or regulated information;
  • use the Service for clinical care, or in any way section 2 prohibits;
  • resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise make the Service available to anyone outside your invitation;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or models behind the Service, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law;
  • probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, circumvent authentication or usage limits, or access another user’s data;
  • use automated means to place unreasonable load on the Service, or interfere with its operation;
  • upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates anyone’s rights;
  • use the Service or its output to build, train, or benchmark a competing product; or
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6 AI-generated content

The Service uses large language models and automated speech recognition. Their output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, internally inconsistent, or entirely fabricated — including when it reads as confident and clinically fluent. Transcription can drop, mishear, or invent words, including numbers and medication names.

Every output is a draft. You are responsible for reviewing anything the Service produces before you rely on it or move it anywhere else. We do not verify output and make no representation that it is accurate, complete, or fit for any purpose.

Output is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. Using the Service creates no clinician-patient relationship and no professional relationship between you and us.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for AI-generated output — including errors, omissions, hallucinated facts, and mistranscriptions — or for anything that follows from relying on it. Verifying that output is accurate, complete, and appropriate before you use it is your responsibility, and yours alone.

7 Dictation and audio capture

Dictation captures audio from a microphone or a shared browser tab or screen that you select, and streams it to a third-party speech-to-text provider for transcription. Nothing is captured until you start a dictation session.

Do not dictate a real clinical encounter or any conversation involving a real patient. Recording people also carries its own consent obligations, which are yours to meet.

If the live connection drops, the app may keep recording and hold audio in your browser’s local storage so it can be transcribed on retry. Resulting transcripts are stored with your account like any other content.

8 Third-party services

The Service sends the content you submit to third-party providers in order to work. Depending on the features and provider you choose, that includes AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and Fireworks), Deepgram for speech-to-text, Resend for transactional email, and Fly.io for hosting.

Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control how they log, retain, review, or otherwise process what is sent to them, and none of them is under a Business Associate Agreement for this Service. This is another reason the synthetic-data-only rule in section 3 is absolute.

9 Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, process, and display that content, and to send it to the third-party providers described above, solely to operate, secure, and support the Service.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content you submit, and that it contains no PHI or real patient data.

10 Feedback

Feedback is the point of a beta, and we would like to be able to act on it. If you send us ideas, bug reports, or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose, with no obligation of confidentiality, attribution, or compensation to you.

11 Data, retention, and deletion

Your content is stored in a database on infrastructure we control, alongside operational records such as sign-in sessions and usage counts.

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Profile. Deletion is permanent and removes your encounters, prompts, settings, and usage history.

Because this is a beta, we may reset, migrate, or erase beta data at any time, with or without notice. We make no commitment to retain, back up, or export anything.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of your data — including loss caused by updates, deployments, migrations, schema changes, bugs, errors, outages, or a deliberate reset of beta data. Beta software loses data. Keep your own copy of anything you would be unhappy to lose.

12 Confidentiality of the beta

The Service and any non-public information you learn through it — unreleased features, performance characteristics, and the like — are confidential. Do not publish screenshots, benchmarks, or evaluations of the beta without our written permission, and do not disclose confidential information to anyone outside your organization.

13 Our intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, design, and content, and all intellectual property rights in it. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during the beta, for evaluation only. Nothing else is granted, expressly or by implication. "dovora" and our logos may not be used without permission.

14 Availability, changes, and support

There is no service level, uptime commitment, or support obligation. The Service runs on a single machine and goes down during deploys and maintenance.

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service — including the whole beta — at any time and without notice or liability.

15 Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

You assume the entire risk of using beta software and of relying on anything it produces.

16 Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH, DURING A FREE BETA, IS ZERO) OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. These limits apply regardless of the theory of liability and are a basis of the bargain between us.

17 Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, penalty, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your submission of PHI or real patient data, or any clinical use of the Service or its output.

18 Suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, revoke, or terminate your access and your account at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without notice and without refund or liability. We will generally do so where we suspect abuse, misuse, a security risk, or use these Terms prohibit — including any clinical use, any submission of real patient data, or sharing your account.

Termination may remove your content along with your account. You may also stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings → Profile.

Sections on PHI and synthetic data, acceptable use, feedback, confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

19 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is always published at /terms, with its version and effective date at the top.

When we publish a new version, you will be asked to read and accept it the next time you use the Service, and access is paused until you do. Continuing to use the Service after accepting means you agree to the updated Terms; if you do not accept, you cannot continue to use the Service and may delete your account.

20 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.

21 General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and supersede any prior understanding. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may. We will send notices to the email address on your account.
